Hero Honda sold 505,553 units in October 2010 (Up by 43% over last year)

Hero Honda The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda on Monday reported its highest ever monthly sales at 505,553 units in October, registering a jump of 42.75 per cent over the same month last year.

The company had sold 354,156 units in the corresponding month last year, Hero Honda said in a statement. This is the first time that the company's sales figure has crossed five lakh mark.

"The previous record of highest-ever monthly sales was in May this year when Hero Honda sold 4,35,933 two-wheeler units," the statement said. Besides, for the 5th consecutive time, the company has recorded more than four lakh despatch sales in a single month.




Bajaj Auto sold 329,776 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (Up by 32% over last year)

Bajaj Auto Ltd. The company said the October sale's figures were the highest ever for the motorcycle and commercial vehicles segment in a single month.

Total motorcycle sales last month rose by 32 percent to 329,776 units against 249,681 units in October of 2009. The period also recorded the highest ever sales of the Pulsar brand of motorcycle in a month at 94,598 units.
The two-wheeler major's export in October rose by 31 percent at 110,387 units as against 84,012 units in October 2009.



TVS Motor sold 191,822 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (Up by 46% over last year)

TVS Motors During last month, total two-wheeler sales of the company grew by 46% with sales of 191,822 units against 131,029 units registered in October, 2009.

Domestic sales grew by 45% with sales growing from 118,563 units in October 2009 to of 173,771 units in October. Scooter sales led the growth quotient with an increase of 58% from 28,301 units in October, 2009 to 44,659 units last month. Motorcycles sales grew by 49%, increasing from 56,465 units in October last year to 84,233 units in October, 2010.

Exports registered a growth of 45% with sales increasing from 12,466 units in October last year to 18,051 units in the same period this year.



Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has sold 148,861 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (up by 148% over last year)

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Two wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported an over two-fold growth in sales at 148,861 units in October 2010. The company’s total sales stood at 60,055 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, HMSI said in a statement.

Motorcycle sales jumped over three-fold to 68,332 units in October this year as against 21,721 units in October 2009, it added. The company reported an increase of over two-fold in scooter sales to 80,529 units in last month compared to 38,334 units a year ago during the same month.



Yamaha India sold 31,247 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (Up by 19% over last year)

Yamaha India Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor on Monday reported 19.21% increase in its total sales in October at 37,251 units. The company had sold 31,247 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.

In the domestic market, the company’s sales stood at 31,791 units, as against 26,897 in the same month last year, up 18.20%. Exports of India Yamaha rose by 25% to 5,460 units from 4,368 units in the year-ago period, it added.



Suzuki Motorcycle India has sold 25,439 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (Up by 61% over last year)

Suzuki Motorcycle India Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India reported on Monday a 60.51 per cent growth in its sales in October at 25,439 units compared to 15,849 units in October 2009.

"We have received very good response from the market to all our products including the newly-launched, Suzuki SlingShot. We are committed to continue this growth momentum in future," Suzuki Motorcycle India Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said in a statement.



Mahindra 2 Wheelers has sold 21,204 units of two-wheelers in October 2010 (Up by 379% over last year)

Mahindra 2 Wheelers Auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday reported over three-fold jump in its two-wheeler sales at 21,204 units in October. The company had sold 6,804 units in the same month last year, Mahindra & Mahindra said in a statement.

The company has achieved a double digit market share in the scooter segment last month and its consumer base is "growing rapidly", he added.

Do you have a consolidated report for the years 2010 and 2011. Also, don't take it the wrong way, but wanted to know the source of your data.
