8 Yamaha R15 in Moto GP Colors could come to India..!!

A limited edition R15 in Moto GP colors have appeared in Colombia.. India should be the next logical step

The other day I saw a dude on the street on his R15. Initially the bike appeared like a white color R15, but on a closer look it became clear that the dude had actually custom painted his R15 in colors to mimic the YZR-M1 that Valentino Rossi rides in Moto GP for Yamaha.

The obvious Rossi "bhakth" was honest enough to paint 46 on the front and the rear of the bike and even had gone the extra mile to put even FIAT logo on the fairing.

..the R15 has already made to Colombia in Moto GP Colors

Even before sighting the above mentioned customized R15 in Moto GP colors, I was pretty sure that Yamaha India would launch the R15 in Moto its GP colors. After its "Yamaha Racing colors" and the "White Color" for the R15, an R15 in "Moto GP colors" obviously is the logical next "colorful" offering from Yamaha.

Couple of months back, I had posted how the Indian made R15 and FZ-16 had appeared in Colombia.

But what would come as a surprise to most will be that the R15 has already made it to Colombia in a "Valentino Rossi" limited edition, Moto GP Colors..!! Check out the Colombian Yamaha site.

Apart from the 46 on the front and rear the bike even has the Doctor’s signature on the tank. But instead of the FIAT logo on the sides of the fairing, the words TEAM is plastered on it.

So will the Moto GP color R15 be launched in India as well? Duh..!! why not?

The Yamaha R15 in Moto GP colors is much better than the Honda Unicorn in Moto GP colors.

for some reasons...the color scheme doesn't look that good to me on the lean appearance of R15. It definitely goes well with the heavy weights like M1 and R1.

The color scheme looks FAwesome on the 2010 Limited Edition R1 (literally I can bang you to death to get it from you stuff)!! But in the Limited Edition R15, the color scheme makes the bike pretty exclusive, if not FAwesome and that's why it would catch the fancy of the prospective buyers. Anybody remember the limited edition color of the Pulsar 180 some years back?? You don't get to see many of them, but again it's still exclusive.

I'm sure the bike's gonna look much better when seen in flesh (but still might not look as FAwesome as the R1) and I can vouch for it as I've seeing some custom color job done on a Ninja 250, which looked way better in flesh than on pics (but still I didn't liked the color combo done on that Ninja ;) )
